Getting here
Facing the Pic du Midi d'Ossau, the Ayous refuge at 198Om, dominates Lake Genteau. Located in the Pyrenees National Park, it is accessible from Lake Bious-Artigue at 1422 m where you will leave your vehicle. You will have to walk up the 600m drop on the GR10 path to access the refuge and the strings of lakes.

To stay at the Ayous refuge
Hiker kit:
You must bring ecological soap, a light towel (no disposable hand towel at the refuge) and eco-label toilet paper.
Pillows, sheets, blankets will be at your disposal. You will need to bring your personal sheet.
It is good to arrive before 5 p.m. to have time to settle in.
The operation in the refuge, the times of meals and sleeping arrangements will be specified to you on your arrival.
The Ayous refuge is located in a pastoral and preserved environment of the Pyrenees National Park with specific regulations.
Pets are prohibited.
